REFILL is a water conditioning station for the complete desalination of the top-up or top-up water for heating systems that are operated in accordance with VDI 2035 in a low-salt mode of operation.

 

The water conditioning system REFILL is designed for permanent installation between the drinking water pipe and the heating system. It can be integrated into existing semi and fully automatic refill systems or pressure maintenance systems.

 

REFILL has a stainless steel wall bracket, a water meter, the ion exchange cartridge for full desalination,integrated capacity indicator MINIGUARD as well as a valve for taking water samples and venting the cartridge system.

 

REFILL is available with an optional RPZ valve for connections to systems where the PU/Vacuum degasser doesn't meet the required standard of separation between the heating system and incoming water supply.

 

Conditioned water via REFILL meets the requirements for low-salt refill and top-up water in accordance with the applicable guidelines. Within the capacity range, the total hardness is <0.1 ° dH and the electrical conductivity of the refill and top-up water is at a level of <10 µS / cm.

 

The installation of REFILL in the refill line ensures that the system water quality is not adversely affected by any refill processes and thus warranty claims are maintained.

The REFILL conditioning system is supplied with the MINIGUARD capacity indicator manner. This continuously monitors the electrical conductivity and thus the capacity of the ion exchange resins. Additionally a venting and sampling valve is included to allow quick & simple water sampling.

The REFILL-VA water conditioning system is supplied with the stainless steel wall fitting and floor-standing stainless ion exchange cartridge. This version is particularly suitable for applications where high pressures of up to 10 bar, pressure surges from switching solenoid valves or high refill water requirements must be expected.

The special resin blend realises an average pH of 8.2 - 8.5 within the capacity range. During the filling procedure the ion exchange resin removes all the harmful minerals, while lowering the conductivity to comply with VDI 2035 standards.

The conductivity meter µS-Control 6C is usually used to monitor the capacity of ion exchange cartridges for the complete desalination of water. To avoid undesirable water quality in the downstream application, a solenoid valve can be switched via µS-Control 6C, which shuts off the water flow in the event of the pre-set limit value.

In addition to the conductivity meter we offer flow cells made of PVC-U as well as stainless steel with sensor mounts. These each have a flat-sealing 3/4 "external thread and a 3/4" union nut and can thus be easily connected to the ion exchanger cartridge for full desalination. With the flow cell measuring the electrical conductivity of water this guarantees undesirable water doesn't contaminate the system.

The measuring device is quality "Made in Germany" and consists of high quality electronic and mechanical components. In addition to the heart of the measuring device, the electronics, the conductivity sensors are also manufactured in our own production facility. The sensor pins, which are made of high-quality stainless steel, even have a temperature sensor built into them, which enables temperature-compensated measurement.
